The Department of Prevention and Treatment of Problem Gambling and Drug Dependence of the Social Welfare Bureau under the government of the Macao SAR is responsible for the planning and the execution of drug abuse prevention and treatment work. It’s main vocations are: to implement drug abuse preventive education and publicity, to provide detoxification and rehabilitation services, to conduct relevant studies, to participate in regional and international co-operation, as well as to support and co-ordinate with the Narcotics Control Committee on drug issues.
