In order to heighten the awareness of substance abuse prevention for the students in Macau, an anti-drug promotional short movie called “Harold Mini Show” has been produced by the Social Welfare Bureau and will be distributed to 65 schools in Macau, with the aim of spreading more completely related message on drug prevention.
The main character of the short movie is the giraffe called Harold, mascot of the Healthy Life Education Center. From 24 October to 1 November 2012, “Harold Mini Show, School Touring Activity” will be held. And during this event, the Healthy Life Education Center will visit the 65 schools participated in the Healthy Life Education Programme. As well, an anti-drug promotional DVD will be given to those schools. The movie, by means of humorous animation advocates the message of a healthy and drug-free lifestyle to students, and, at the same time, aims to build up correct values of virtue.
During the activity, Harold and staff from the Healthy Life Education Center will pay visits to schools and Bookmarks with Harold’s portrait will be given to students as souvenirs. From 2004 to 2010, the Social Welfare Bureau visited local schools six times and always received warm welcomes and significant results.
