Invited to hold promotional activities at the Premier School, in affiliation with the Hou Kong Middle School
On 13th April, instructors from the Healthy Life Education Programme of the Social Welfare Bureau were invited by the Premier School, which is affiliated to the Hou Kong Middle School, to hold a reading session of the picture book “Secrets in the Refrigerator” on its premises to promote the idea of healthy life among the students. The instructors introduced food nutrients and balanced diets to the students through interactive activities, and led a reading session of the picture book, guiding students to gain a better understanding of healthy diets and ways to relieve stress. The students also participated in role-playing, putting their knowledge into practice. “Harold”, the mascot of the Healthy Life Education Programme, made a special appearance at the final part of the day’s event, to engage teachers and students in a lively dance, where everyone was energetic and having fun. Approximately 180 teachers and students participated in the activities. At the end of the day’s event, students were gifted a beautifully illustrated picture book to encourage them to read it with their parents, which would enhance the communication between parents and their children, contributing to the cultivation of shared healthy habits.
