【News】Social Welfare Bureau (SWB): The “Healthy Life Education Programme” is an internationally recognised programme run by the Social Welfare Bureau (SWB) which focuses on health education and drug abuse prevention, offering classes in both English and Chinese languages to promote the message of healthy lifestyle in schools across Macao.

In recent years, SWB take an active part in improving and developing the programme to enhance its learning experience and effectiveness. The curriculum has been redesigned in accordance with the content. This year's English classes make full use of the multimedia system in classroom, including a large screen with digital video, advanced teaching technologies such as Kinect and RFID. The Healthy Life Education mascot “Harold” the Giraffe and the interactive body system “TAM” are also included in the classes, introducing human body systems including the nervous system, circulatory system, digestive system and respiratory system to provide students with brand new experience and thus strengthen the efficacy of preventive education.

In the school year 2020/2021, 11 English schools took an active part in the programme, with a total of 131 classes and about 3,900 students.
