A delegation of 49 health care educators from Guangdong Health Education Center and Shanghai Health Care Education Institute visited Macao’s Healthy Life Education Center in the afternoon on July 27th, 2013. The delegates were received by Hoi Va Pou, Chief of the Division of Prevention of Drug Abuse of the Social Welfare Bureau as well as by educators of the Center.

Through related visit and experience sharing, the guests were able to gain understanding of drug abuse prevention in Macao. Meanwhile, the guests showed a strong interest in the subjects of the substance abuse prevention programme, the distinctive classrooms, the audio-visual equipments and giraffe Harold, the mascot of the center. They conceded that a relaxing and joyful learning environment helps better engage students in the programme to acquire the body knowledge and the impact of drug misuse on health. Therefore, students can build up a healthy life style and achieve the goal of substance abuse prevention.
